Has anyone relocated the emergency brake on an auto CL-S to a Hand brake? I wanna move it cuz I'm 6'3" and have long legs and the e-brake pedal is located an inch from my shin while driving and im scared if I get in an accident it will break my leg. So I was wondering if anyone has already done it and if theres enough room to mount a hand brake in between the drivers seat and center console or if it would be better to just to buy a 6 speed center console?

 

That's a good thought, cause I'm the same height as you. I wonder if anyone else has done this.

 

6 speed center console I was going to do the swap in my TL but sold it before I did it. There is a DIY on it on the TL side IIRC

 

i looked in to it a long time ago....
you have to drill and weld 2 nuts/ bolts in order to accomplishe the conversion. Risky if tou screw up. Plus parts.....

I really don't know so I have no constructive coment. But I did want to say I was glad to see you had a good reason for wanting to make that change. My first thought when I read the title was "Oh boy, some kid got him self a CLS and wants a hand brake because he want to convert his CLS to RWD and hand brake so he could have a super dooper drifter!

It can and has been done. Check the 2nd gen TL side. I think there's a DIY for it.
