Wanted to let the Other Sac. members that I have finally finished the move. We are living in Orangevale and I am anxious to check out the Sacramento dragstrip scene.

If anyone knows when you can run at the track and wants to go, let me know.

 

Mey, Mitch! Welcome to Sacramento. It's about time. I thought maybe you got stuck in Wendover, NV.

The drags at the Sacramento Raceway are on Wednesday nights through the end of November. You need to get there when the gates open at 4:30 for the 5 PM time trials, then the racing elimination racing begins at 7 PM. Myself and another CL bud went for our first time in July when it was way f00k1ng hot and didn't run so well. They also have Saturday night grudge racing without the elimination bracket which I'd like to check out. This month it's on the 20th or 27th.

We've been having a monthly Sacramento meet with anywhere from 6-10 CL/TL owners. The last two months we've taken off on some great 2-3 hour road trips through the sparsely-traveled twisty foothill roads and had an absolute gas. The next meet is planned for Saturday, October 27th. Check out the Sacramento CL/TL Meets topic in the Club Events forum. We also have a few pix of some of our rides and previous meets here.

I hope we can hook up before the meet on the 27th to do a Wed or Sat drag. Reply here or in the meets topic and let me know!

Just curious, why Sacramento??
What area is Orangevale by anyway?

Sac has some good driving areas.. but as for everything else.. it's alright..
If you like the outdoors, there is lots to do around the area.. I definately recommend a waverunner trip to Folsom Lake.

I haven't been to Sacto in a while, I think it's about time for another trip.

 

Thanks for all te replies and welcomes. I will definitely try to make it to the meet on the 27th. Sorry I havent responded earlier but I have been trying to get everything unpacked and get my house situated.
BTW for those of you who asked, we moved here because my wife's family lives here.
If anyone wants to go the the drags tonight (wednesday) let me know. I may need directions or if someone lives near Orangevale, I could follow you out.

 

I can't make it tonight...can't get off work early enough to make it to the strip by around 4:30. I can clear my schedule now for next Wed. What about you other peeps?
