Mounting new wing....need help!!!!!

I bought a factory replica wing from autocarparts.com and had it painted and am now in the process of putting it on. I need help with how far up the trunk lid it should go. They told me that there were marked points on the underside of the trunklid....but they don't match up. A close up picture of someone's wing (especially where it mounts to the car) would be very appreciated!!!

If the underside holes don't match to the wing, you got the wrong kind of wing. I got mine through sportswing and it is exact replicate of the OEM wing. Anyway, you should get a wing that does match to the holes underside of the trunk. Good luck.

Did you install your sportswing yourself? I have not found anyone else that installed their own that said the holes match up perfectly.

Yeah, with a friend. Like I said the wing I got from the Sportswing matched perfectly to the holes underside of the trunk. The wing itself looks just like the OEM wing. There are many types of wings out there. I think you need to find one that matches to our CLS.

got mine from sportwing and did the installation by myself.the install was very easy but it would be nice to have someone help with the alignment. sportwing does not
come with predrilled holes. It comes with very sticky footpads that attaches the wing to the trunk. you then drill thru the trunk and up into the wing. 4 screws are provided
to fasten the wing. a hole for the brake wires must be drilled prior to attaching the
wing (5 holes total)

i forgot to to mention that i sealed off the
scews with black silicone (matches the black exterior). i'm paranoid about corrosion! The screws sit in the water drain.
