Motor oil and Oil Filters

Im going to seafoam my crankcase soon and im changing my oil afterward, i've been using Mobil 1 Synthetic for a while now with a K&N Oil Filter. I've been thinking of switching to Royal Purple or Mobil 1 Extended Performance which is 50 cents more expensive than regular Mobil 1. I've also been thinking about using the Mobil 1 oil filter instead of the K&N. Please chime in if you use either product. And does anyone know how long you're support to run the Seafoam in the crankcase before you change out the oil? i've read somewhere its 30min while the engine is idling than change.

I only use honda oil filters... I don't think that any other filter is going to do a better job. As for the oil, well i think its preference....I tried the redline stuff but I switched back to OEM stuff which i order online. handa-accessories.com.

Maybe i'm wrong but i think the Honda stuff is the best.

What do you mean it felt better? was there a performance gain of some kind? also what oil filter are you using, im leaning toward the Mobil 1 or K&N

The old royal purple felt smoother and it felt as if there was less resistance.

I was reading alot about honda oil filters and they are really the same thing as the frame crappy paper filters. I started to use Mobil 1 filters (rated pretty good along with K&N), but they are too pricey. So I settled on PureOne filters, they are almost at par with mobil1 but half the price.

Yeah you can definitely feel a difference with new oil. I changed out my oil yesterday after about 5500 mi and put in valvoline full synthetic and damn it drove like a different, better, car. Loved it

Yeah I tend to use the PureOne filters or the old non-Fram Honda filters when I find them (the ones made by Filtech/Toyo-Roki.

Glad we could help

I have been using RP in my 06 Nissan Truck, but after reading the doc, I am putting it in all my vehicles.
