More stupid insults from carparts .com -- buyer's beware

I wrote up by terrible experience with carparts.com.

They promised to order my Neuspeed front strut bar (with discount coupon) in one week. This order turned into the 7/9/2001 data. I called them on Thursday to find out what happened, then Friday to cancel. They never returned calls, and said the warehouse only special ordered the part.

I just received a fresh notice that said I would have to pay them to return the part (as it might just show up anyway, and they had no control how it would get to me). My credit card would be charged and I would bare all responsibility to get the part back to them to get a credit. (I would have to arrange shipping and all costs, even though they broke every promise they made.)

Do yourself a favor and stay away, and save the aggravation by NOT dealing with carparts.com.

They are the worst people I've dealt with in a very long time!

i placed a order w/ carparts.com also 6/3/01 for a CAI on 6/29/01 i finaly called to see were it is . when i called i was put on hold for 1hr15mins. i was pissed. they then told me all my parts were on back order.I SAID THANKS FOR F??KING TELLING ME WEEKS AGO..... I WILL NEVER BUY ANYTHING FROM THERE AGAIN.......

In tracing this stuff down -- I can relate... I was put on hold a total of 3 hours. I'll take Tim anyday.

Now -- I may have to call AMEX to get them to remove the charge from my card and waste a day waiting on the phone somemore. Can you say never, never, never, never ... to the 1000th power!

BTW -- I have a speaker phone -- plan to get one if you order from these guys... You will need it!


AS NSXNEXT said -- just add auto to the front of "carparts.com" --> autocarparts.com and now your talking about someone that I had great luck with!

i only got 3 reminder emails estimated ship date on 7/11.

i don't care, as long as it's here before the middle of august!

We should set something up to let members know which online companies have given other members good experiencs and which ones to avoid. Kind of like the Dealer Hall of Shame that some people wanted.

Please add carparts.com to the "Car part dealers hall of shame".

I guess I was lucky. I ordered Eibach Pro-Kits from carparts.com last year (for my Civic). I received them within a week of the order date.

I'm sorry to hear I was the only one with a positive carparts experience.

Hey Rod...I really like that idea of the Dealer Hall of Shame/Fame. I think both would be fully appropriate, because when (I guess I still am by your standards) a NEWBIE, I had no idea where to look, but after some vast exploring I now know where to immediately go to find pertinant info. That's a wonderful idea and would be so insightful for people just getting into cars or for those looking for new purchases.

I finally got a hold of the manager, and they are being bought by another company.

I was one of the people that asked for "A Dealers Hall of Shame", but it was explained to me (and others) that it would cause trouble for Soopa..

There is a thread around here that needs to get bumped that has recent reviews of dealer sales and service departments...

and I just ordered a Neuspeed strut bar last nite. why couldn't you post this thread a day earlier? I think it's OK in my case cuz I have plenty of patient to wait. as long as they dont disappear like some other vendor , I'm still ok.

I have been posting...

I paid the piper and ordered the replacement bar from Neuspeed on Friday, and got it today. I wrote-up a review of the bar.

I like it and I have it!

Neuspeed may charge retail -- but I got tired of waiting around.

I will order from Tim in the future -- I have praise for him
