More 6 speed driving impressions....
I finally got to drive the M6 yesterday evening at the Greenville SC Acura dealership. First impressions are that the car is fast. Red line comes up blindingly fast in first gear (Fast enough that I was deep in the red on the entrance ramp to I-85). The car pulls very hard all the way up to 80 (where I let off). With a decent set of rubber and some work on the launch look for this car to go LOW 14’s at the track. I was not impressed with the clutch pedal feel…very soft and mushy (this may be personal preference) and it engages very late. I learned to drive on a manual at 14 and have driven a manual ever since and I had some problems launching the car in first (did not stall like the salesman backing it in at the lot). The transmission however is silky smooth and gear spacing seems to be where it should be. There is plenty of low end torque left in fourth gear to tool around town. There is virtually no torque steer if you keep the car completely straight on even road, but tap the throttle in first in a slight curve or on uneven road and the car pulls to the left pretty hard. Definitely not the car to run the crap out of in your back woods twisties, though I would imagine you would get used to it in time. I am not overly impressed with the monochrome grill and blacked out headlights, but the interior looks great (I like the brushed alum. Look). Overall driving impressions are very good. Throw in RWD some decent tires and a few comptech suspension goodies and you would have a genuine BMW 330 burner, but at a price of 31,060 it is a good compromise.

u mentioned u went deep in the red-zone...how deep??? and there's no rev-limiter???
get a good feel for LSD???
if the clutch engaged late, was there bucking where u're thrown back into yer seat??

I don't understand why all of these clutches these days engage so late. It makes it very hard to launch in 1st and makes it more labor intensive to get a good start.
Since this is a cable clutch I wonder if it can be adjusted.
I remember the clutch on my 240SX would catch so quickly that even with 140hp I could get a big ole chirp going into second. The difference between when the clutch was new versus when it was old and caught very late was incredible--when the clutch caught early it felt like an entirely different car--very nice.
It takes too much effort when you have to let the clutch out six feet before it catches. This was a problem I did not like whene I drove both the 330 and the RSXS.

Yep, it was non-navi. I went a good 300 RPM into the red zone. Actually did not pay enough attention to where the red line was set to remember. I am sure there is a rev-limiter somewhere, and I am sure I was very close to bumping up to it. The car did not buck because of the clutch. I just ended up slipping the clutch a lot more in first gear than I ma used to. It was not an issuee speed shifting to second and third though.
