moonroof rattle totally fixed by dealer

While I was having my headlight replaced due to fogging/condensation (which wasn't going away btw....) I mentioned the famous moonroof rattle problem and now it's totally gone. On the service invoice it says : "Shim & adjust moonroof" Anyone care to explain what they did because I can't find anything different up there. Great service by Rallye Acura in Syosset, L.I.

ough... I need that done on mine too.. I don't open my moonroof anymore due to that noise.

My wife always ask me if my CL-S is really a luxury car since moonroof, rear deck, passenger seat, somewhere behind passenger seat rattles a lot. I told her Acura purposely design the rattles to keep me awake and drive more aggressively as everyone should.

OK...first off Rallye acura is in Roslyn NY...I work there. Second, we don't use tape. We use a high quality shinitsu grease on the black rubber seal around the glass...usually works for like 6 months. After the warranty is up you can buy this tube at the dealer for like 9 bucks...one tube will do literally hundreds of applications. When did you get it done...I might have worked on it. If you need anything...pm me

Hi Ant7701 - yeah I was in at 7:30 am on Tuesday 8/19. Thanks for the info. Unfortunatley I got the fresh out of college all-busines / unhappy service advisor (not that pretty British woman or the other middle aged guy w/ the nicer demeanor).

hahahahaha...actually he's my main bosses son...he's 22. Before this he was a car detailer and I guess felt like he wasn't happy w/ that so His pops (service manager) made him an advisor...the sad part is he has no idea what he's talking about w/ cars...the brittish lady is actually 100% italian...funny huh. Anyways...next time you come in...see Mike D...or Steve G...they both sit directly across from Chris and the Brittish/Italian lady...they'll take car of you much better. Also Enza...the italian/brit...isn't a service advisor...she's a customer follow up caller/cashier/receptionist. Anyways I guess I'll see you around

Thanks alot Ant - I'll be in when I get another 1K on the car for my third oil & filter service. Might be while since I don't use the car for commuting. I wonder how long you guys are gonna leave that silver CL on display as soon as you walk into the showroom!!!!
