MoonRoof Question...
Is it normal for the rubber seal of the moonroof to not be flush with the roof line with the moonroof closed? I took off my visor today, & noticed it's not flush at all on my car. I never saw my car with out the visor till today. I get no noises/rattles.
Thanks
Thanks
that depends...can u see all the way down into the roof itself??? is it just the top portion of the rubber that's not flush??
i've found through cars in my family that have moonroofs that the rubber seal is shaped in more of a dome so that when the roof is closed, contact is made first by the middle of the seal, then contact spreads up and down until the moonroof is closed all the way...it may appear that there's a gap, but it's deceiving...as the seal wears away and needs to b replaced, the center section will most likely have a gap to it when the roof is closed all the way...i found that out the hard way on my '93 G20...fukin leaked water all over the roof lining and permanently stained the fabric, not to mention shorted out the moonroof motor!!!
