Modding the CL-> Lights

Very very bored today, still can't play golf cause of my finger so I went down to SRD and got the PIAAs for the Lights on the Door and the lights near the homelink (map lights) Also replace the Dome light with a Blue light. It is such a difference i can't believe for $38 bucks I didn't do this before. Looks a lot nicer and that blue light as the Dome looks sweet too. Waiting to see it during nighttime.

Does anyone know what part number is for changing the lights in the vanity mirrors?

Well as far as reverse lights go (exterior lighting) I'm just gonna put the 2003 taillights in my car. Cause I think with the Blue it will look sweet. Actually I know it looks sweet.

I put the PIAA 19225 Xtreme whites in place of my stock reverse lights. There's a blueish coating around the bulb so it makes your reverses look like they have a slight blue tint during the day, but at night they're white and are pretty bright...27 watts.

Is Bulb type 7440 (PIAA 19225) is the correct Bulb type for the reverse light?

What is the watts rating for the stock reverse lights?

i am using the old casing for the taillights (red with pinkish reverse). I've put Polargs blue bulbs in there and they look like light purple during the night and superwhite in the day time, all my other friends uses the blue bulb but with white housing for their cars (bmw, civics, protege5) and they all look blue except for me but oh well

Is it hard to replace these lights (dome, map lights ect)? I'm assuming the covers just pop right off.

Ya, pretty much. Justuse a small flat screwdriver and go easy on them so as not to get the plastic surround scratched up... you'll like the difference...

Oh, and wash those hands first before handling thos pricey bulbs!!

Simplest thing, I replaced the Map light while doing about 80mph on the 101 Heading north. Pop the piece out with a flathead, pull the bulb out and then put the new light in. Found a new golf glove in my glove compartment so I put that on, I was gonna wait till I got home to wash my hands but glove worked

Oh yeah and put the pieces back.

What are the part numbers for these bulbs, or where can I find them?

Here's what I found, thanks to NoleCLS, in the FAQ area about the lights...Recommended bulbs for internal lights?
Example sets used by people:
Dome light: Polarg M16 or Minimax bulb (Part no: MX-3175)
Polarg M4: Trunk lights, license plate lights
Polarg M4 or PIAA 69 for Door Lamps and Map Lights,
Reverse Lamp: M2 or M13 (M13 is dual-element so brighter but more expensive)
Turn signals (1157 type bulbs): Polarg M12

So PGAtour, which of these did you use for the dome light and the door and map lights?

The Bill and the box says something different so I'm just gonna go off of what the box says.

I bought 2 sets of these. Put them in Map lights and Door lights:
PIAA Platinum Wedge Bulb-Type 168 Part No. 19169

As for the Blue Dome Bulb it is just a no name company SOEI SE-520s

The Dome is not a wedge bulb like the door and map lights.

The Door light and Map lights are 12v/5w
The Dome Light is 12V/10w
I will take pics when it gets dark out in a few hours.

For the map / glovebox / door / trunk / license I used All PIAA 19168 Super Whites (closer to bright white than the slightly more blueish Platinum's).

I had PIAA T-6 Xtreme Super White in the dome, but they don't fit perfect. SOEI's will I believe.

I have Eurolite's 3175 HID to try next in the dome.

Yeah the SOEI fits perfect but it gets super hot so i'm getting worried, like it was on for about 5 mins just now and you couldn't even touch the plastic. I'm thining of taking it out and just putting something cooler in it.

Probably won't be a cause an issue... Usualy that light isn't on for too long and It turns off by itself after... what, like a couple of minutes??

The best bulb for the map lights, door lights, trunk and license plate light are the PIAA 19172's!! They are the Extreme Super White. Here is a link with some really good info!!!! I got pics on there of my reverse lights with stock and PIAA 19225's so you can compare and see the difference!!!
