what is up with those gaskets? Those are the same type OBX gives. Does anyone use those? We got some new OEM ones for Ferrizos car. Do those compress a lot?

I know now why CT charges so much though... look at those ugly ass welds... Definitely not as cleanly built as CT but I'm definitely for the 70% savings.

The construction of those looks pretty good.
And YES, this is coming from the guy who ripped the shit out of every non-Comptech header that’s come out so far.
The only less then perfect spot I see is right by the 180 degree “U-Bend”.
There are multiple pieces and multiple welds where Comptech just has one nice sweeping piece.
It looks like it would provide less ideal flow in that area because it blends in more abruptly.

Shawn,
The Extra cuts and welds may not be needed after all, in our Prototype 2 we did not have those 2 extra cuts. We will try to use the P2 y-pipe design.
Nashua,

I think 6 speed headers will fit the auto. So if they only make 6 speed headers they shouldn't have to make a different set for the auto cars.

Nashua --

I'm a little confused. A couple of weeks ago, you posted asking for someone to test-fit the Prototype #3.

Is this what it's about, or is the test-fitment done with, and the actual production headers are available now?

If these are the production headers, count me in.

So this GB is for the 6sd...but these will also fit auto...?

Cause the 'may be' part in your response is confusing me.

The headers in the photos don't look like they are for a 6 speed. I believe the 6 speed headers have one pipe bent in slightly to clear the rear engine stabilizer.

Say it ain't so.

Shawn not bashing a non-Comptech product.

Never thought I'd see it.

ModAddict is testing those headers next week

Stay tuned. There might be a bit of delay to get the 6-speed version as the universal application for both all 01-03 models including the 6-speed and 5AT.

STONE HEADERS ARE JUNK ...i just bought a pair off Pimp D@DDY, and im not placing blame if he knew or not, but the fuckers have cracked, i have to take a picture to show where it is exactly, but its from an obvious shitty ass welding job. the rest of the headers are in good condition and i dont feel like throwing away something i just spent 360 on. could i buy 1 exhaust manifold instead of having to get another set? im going to try and find someone to weld them if its even possible but GODDAMN I AM PISSSSSSSSSSSED...ILL TAKE PICS In a lil bit to show where im talking about.

the SR Headers should not be installed on 3.0L engine unless modified. They are designed for ONLY 3.2L!

Nashua-

What kind of delay are you thinking for the 6-speed headers? I'm still definetely interested, and I think I can speak for everyone when i say thanks for organizing the group buys for SR headers. Also, what are the payment/ expected delivery dates. Thanks

yes i know this, the downpipe needs to be bent slightly...eitther way, the runner from the flange to the merge collector should not just crack.

Didn't the first SR headers batch have filament problems? Is there a warranty? And when is the earliest they will be shipped out?

I've been driving with a crack in my OBX for months now, they refuse to replace it. So i need an alternative to just rewelding it.
