Good for Cold Weather

Hi. According to Consumer Reports, after an exhaustive study involving several taxi cabs in New York, there was no noteable difference in engine wear using different oils (brands) and syntheic oils. But the report did say that syntheic oils in extremely cold weather was better for starting the car since the oil was thin. The study also included oil changes at different intervals, like 3000 miles, 7500 miles, 15000 miles, etc., and again, found no significant difference in engine wear. In other words, the engine of the cab that had the oil changed every 3000 miles wore no differently than the engine of the cab that had the oil changed every 15000 miles. Take it for what it's worth. I change my oil every 5000 miles on my Camry and it has 200k miles and still running strong. Hopefully my CL will last as long.
