Misaligned Muffler

I recently noticed that one of my mufflers was hanging lower than the other (yes, I’m anal about stuff like that). As part of my last dealer visit I asked them to fix it so that the mufflers were even; I actually specifically asked for the driver side muffler to be moved up. Although they did move it some, it is still lower than the passenger side. They said they couldn’t move it up any further because the rear sway bar was in the way. They actually didn’t want to do anything until I reminded them that they were the ones that installed the sway bar. Anyway, is this a problem other people have had and, one way or the other, is there anything I can do about it.

All they do is bend the bracket holding the muffler (by hand). You can do this fairly easily also...

Is it an issue if the pipe makes contact with the rear sway bar?

just ask for new HANGERS... they are rubber.. they stretch over time.. do not BEND the bracket. you will NEVER get them aligned properly if you do that.

add a second set of rubber hangers to the side that hangs low this is a 5$ part and any auto parts store and can be done your self in 15 minutes...just spray the holes in the rubber hanger and the brakets with WD40 or anyother spray lub
