minor run in...front bumper scratched!!!

i was exiting the freeway while coming home from school and the light was showing the green arrow to turn right....there were only two cars in front of me and they were turning right also..then all of a sudden they stopped!..sudden holt..no cars in front and the light was green....at a 5-10 mile per hour roll i nick the car in front of me....we pulled over and the lady asked if everything was alright (the lady was nice...since nothing happen to her car she was cool about it and we part ways) but my front bumper near the point is scratched up!...i'm pissed cuz there was no reason for them to just stop like that but i didn't want to show that i was mad because either way i was behind her and would be at fault if she would've reported it so i came out lucky in a sense....

so the question is what should i do? should i have it repainted or go to the dealer and buy a new bumper that is comes painted already?

I scratched mine as well, but it was a bonehead half-asleep scenario when I went over to my girlfriend's house to drop something off before going to work. I pulled up too far to her garage and actually touched it with the point of the bumper. Well, she opened the garage as I was walking towards her house and scratched a nice 1/2 inch paint chip on the bumper. I just touched it up w/ paint and you can tell since it's much darker than the rest of the car (small chips are easier to hide, big ones are hard). Just touch it up and leave it. You'll forget about it. I use a nose mask sometimes, so at least that hides it.

But if you have the money and don't think there would be a chance that something else will happen, then go ahead and get a new bumper or get it repainted. I have so many chips and crap on the bumper now that I don't care as much as long as it's not too bad. I just touch up.
