Metallic tint and am radio

I wanted to get some feedback from you guys with metallic tint...
I was looking to get the llumar atr tint...I do listen to a lot of am talk radio and I wonder if it interferes with reception. LLumar themselves says it will but they also said it will interfere with navigation and I know some who have not had that problem at all.

You have NAVI on your car.
Why are you even considering Metallic tint ???

I have full metallic tint. I can only get a single AM station in my 99 TL and that station doesn't even come in very good.

If you like AM radio do yourself a favor and skip the metallic tint. I don't have navi so I can't comment on that. I heard some people have the tinter cut around the navigation transponder(in the back window) and they get navi reception fine.
Maybe someone else will chime in about the navi.

The NAVI antenna is below the rear parcel shelf.
The only thing that’s actually ON the inside of the window is the defroster and the radio antenna.

That's weird... I have metallic tint on my '03, and AM + NAVI reception are perfectly fine.

lotta people have navi and say its not an issue shawn but no one ever commented on the am. If it comes right down to having no am or having metallic tint I will get regular tint for sure. I am just concerned with fading.

My gf's Maxima has Llumar titanium tint on the rear window, and it's limo (6%), if that makes a difference. A couple weeks ago I was listening to a football game on the AM radio. The reception sounded fine by me, but I was not too far from the broadcasting station.
