Has anyone had a faint metallic rattle coming from the rear underbody area? It is not as loud as a loose heat shield on the exhaust system, but sounds similar, only muted. I only notice it on the freeway at between 65-75mph. It is starting to drive me nuts!(short trip) It's on a 2001 CL-S with 38,000 miles.

I probably would hear it, but not over the seat/sunroof/rear deck/dash/seatbelt/ball/airbag rattles...ARGGGHHHH!!!

I am now at peace with my rattles..

I guess I am lucky, after fixing the rear deck rattle when the car was (2) months old, this is the only other rattle problem.

thats the prob with having these vehicles assembled out of japan!

 

I had the shop manager at my dealership ride around on bumpy roads with me and make a note of every rattle he heard. It was kinda funny...he crawling all over the car, front seat, back seat...I think he even stuck his head in the opening into the trunk. Other cars were giving me funny looks. Gotta give it to him though...dedicated as heck.
