Messed up an Eclipse

A new gen eclipse pulled up to me, in the camaro, in the rain at a stoplight today. He only had tints, and an exhaust from what I could tell. He started revving it and the car sounded like crap, but i decided what the hell, I'll race him. He beat me off the line, because of my massive amounts of wheelspin followed by the traction controll setting in. (shoulda turned that off ) Then I pulled him and had him beat by about 50 mph. I shut it down at 80 where i had a preety substantial lead.(i never full throtled either) He then preceeded to ride my ass . This taught me that new eclipses aren't that slow, and that I need more traction.

Too bad it wsn't a previous gen GSX, AWD is great for launching against the likes of an F-Body...

That reminds me of how I nice my Typhoon was to race stop light to stop light. Even in dry weather I could outrun most F-Bodies (only LT1 versions back then) but in the rain it was just sick. It is hard to beat a 12 PSI launch with AWD...

Good thing you had those extra cylinders, then it might have been a decent match.
