So Im driving down the road with my girl and my sister in the car, up on my left comes a white Audi. As soon as I heard the turbo spool I knew it wasnt an A4 1.8T, so I slowed up and came even we both hit it and I was even from the roll to about 65 that was all for that.

He had about a car and a half on me in no time. I came up next to him at the next light and talked to him for a second asked him what was done to it, he says "oh just exhaust" I rolled my eyes and said, yea and a chip and what else? so he laughed and said yea I got a chip too... Didnt elaborate any further but he had to have more done, def a BOV must have been a low 13sec car easily.

I really had no expectation to win but it was fun for a little bit.

A chip would be sufficient to hand you your ass if its the b5 S4 (previous gen). You had passengers and I'm assuming he didn't. You are stock and the S4 has a chip and exhaust. honestly you would be even, maybe a little quicker, if you were alone against a stock S4 from a roll. Modded those things are beasts.

Oh and I am only talking about the prev gen S4 because a current S4 is damn fast stock but no turbos so chips don't help it much.

 

The b5 s4 with a chip and exhuast puts down about 310-325hp and 355-375 pounds of torque. They can put up a good fight against e46 m3's. I suprised you were that close. Pretty good race man

Yeah, just exhaust was a good one. No telling what was done. A chip and turbo-back B5 S4 is good for low 13s on pump gas. On race gas, high 12s are very obtainable. Back in the day, I was known for floating around town hunting with some 105 in the tank.

 

if he had a blow off valve or not it woudln't help or hurt performance, it does nothing. its honestly best to run a recirculation valve because the car wont' run rich when you blow off. but their still cool to have.

on the s4's you can turn the chip on and off, on for race mode, off for stock. im sure he had it on stock mode becaue you would get killed by 318 hp/380lb-ft. i drove my friends dads with just a chip and i can say its so insanely fast you would have no chance
