Is Meguiar's products any good?

Hi, I heard about zaino and everything, but I might use it in the future, but I don't really have the time to find everything on the internet and such. I purchased some shampoo and liquid car wax. Should i return it or just give it a try? I'm a dummy when it comes to this kinda stuff, so any input would be appreciated.

meguirs is ok. If you can return it, then do it. Most car was type stuff makes the car look good for the first 45minutes or so and then it starts looking like crap. You'll be like i spent time and money on this stuff????? Zaino is the way to go. If you look in the detailing section of the page there are some good posts. You can check out www.zainobros.com If you have any questions either post on here or PM. ShawnS is the resident expert.

Meguiar's products are pretty good and fairly priced. But if you want the best looking shine go with Zaino. Especially if you have a dark color. I've used various waxes & polishes and in my experience Zaino gives the best shine. It does require a little more effort in the first application but I say its well worth it.

i use maguiar's gold class polish and wax. i have a white car and it seems to shine more than zaino. that's just my opinion. even after i've washed it several times, still real shiny and the water beading last quite some time. but, the good thing about zaino is you can use/apply it under the sun.

Rerun season

What you want is Meguiar's Mirror Glaze #20 Professional Polymer Sealant. Normaly you have to get this from a shop that specializes in automotive paints and not the local auto parts store. I have used this for years and I think it's the best product out there, and yes I have tried Zaino.

I think Meguiar's is pretty good. I use the #7 polish which is the Show car glaze and then I use the the Medallion Premium Paint protection. The premium Paint protection costs as much as zaino and I think it looks great. I have a Silver CL-S so I haven't seen it on any other color car but my car is pretty dusty and it still shines. I also put about 3 coats of wax on it. Most people on this board compare the cheaper Meguiar's wax to Zaino which I don't think you can.

I have questions about Meguiars. The Show Car Glaze # 7... does this always have to be put on before waxing? I heard that all polishes strip the wax. Also, regarding the Gold Class wax... can you put multiple coats on in one sitting or do you need to let it 'cure' before applying another coat?
