Meguiars or Mothers?

I want to clay my car and I know Zaino is the best stuff, but I hate ordering things through the mail and would rather have something I could go to the store and buy. So, I was wondering which brand of claying system is better Meguiars or Mothers? I did a search function and a few people said Meguiars was bad. What do you think?

try this So. Cali. distributor for Zaino, they were at the "meeting place" for the Angeles Crest run and they gave me their card...

www.lazaino.com
310-478-4092
Robyn and Ira Emus

And they're authorized Zaino distributors.

I use Meguiars, because it's always on sale at Autozone. No problems so far.

I used Mothers clay bar before & from experienced I think it's a POS. All of their detailing products are much more inferior/ crappy quality than what the market offered. Go spend your hard earned cash on something else.

This is what I used and it worked fine. The car is very slick to the
touch and it was very easy to use. There's no reason to use Zaino
Clay Bar over Mothers. I used Mothers Clay Bar followed up by 2
Coats of Zaino Z2. Looks Great.

Clay is clay...there isn't anything special about it. Buy a name brand one and figure out which one is cheaper...and get that Zaino on it ASAP!!

Now I'm even more confused. Maybe I should get Mother's clay since no one has said anything bad about it yet.

I've gone through a box of that already, lasted about 5 times effectively.. I think it works great..

just gotta make sure you use a good towel to wipe the excess off and not to do it in the sun..

Probably good to do it about 2 times a year in SoCal.. all that nasty pollution really builds up.. My wife lived there before and clayed her car.. it was soo smooth afterwards and probably looked better than the day she bought it..

CLS-BO, why dont you listen to the rest of the members? Get Zaino. It is the best product to use to get that ultimate shine! Just use and stop bitching about Zaino. Listen to us members and use Zaino chief.

haha thanks vince, you saved me the trouble of saying it Btw, how big is the clay bar supposed to be? I just bought Mother's and it's like the size of an eraser! well, maybe more like a small small bar of soap.

I love Zaino just as much as anyone,
but doing a mail-order just to get a claybar is overkill.

That seems about right. I would say it's maybe a half inch thick, with sides 2 and 4 inches?
