Mb C32 Amg??
I saw this for the first time today, never knew they made one. Driving southbond on the 73, right next to Flecther Jones. It's 350 HP...how fast do you think it is? You think it can take out 6 speed S/C CL-S? $51K MSRP!!!

dude, m3 with 4 doors and a benz logo (and a fully auto tranny).
im sure it would run over a sc'd 6mt cls. that thing is a dream car of mine (well atleast an atainable dream car). its beautiful, i love it. theyve been making them for a few years but they are way more rare than a new m3. and they hold their value pretty damn well.

Its a great car and extremely fast, a C32 would wax a CL 6spd.
Few issues though, its pricey for a Cclass (it looks too much like a regular Cclass). That's a good thing if you're looking for a sleeper.
The interior is not the greatest for $52k+, plus while the car is fast.....it only comes with an auto and I would want a stick in that car.
Cool car though and definitely on the rare side.

i don't understand mercedes refusal to offer manual transmissions in their cars...esp "performance" models. I like Mercedes more than BMW's generally but i think i would opt for a BMW just because of that reason.

E-55 or bust lol.
I like the C32 AMG and took one out for a test drive. It's a spongy 4 door M3 that 1/2 made more for daily driving and less for the track. The M3 is the exactly opposite. The M3 is a stiff 2 door that's track ready and not the best daily driver unless you live near roads that are generally well kept. Alot of M3 guys tighten up their suspension even further when they get it although I thought It was tight enough when I'd go over big bumps and feel it run up my spine. About 6 months ago I was in my friends Laguna Seca Blue M3 and we raced a C32AMG owned by a friend of a a friend. The biggest problem that the C32AMG has is it's lack of street name / credibility. If you want a fast car that everyone more commonly knows is whipass fast, get an M3. If you want more of a sleeper car with balls, definitely get the C32 but not in red, it's fugly in red .

I've heard pretty good things in general from AMG but I do have a couple problems...it seems to me that they're a little overpriced...and AMG only offers an automatic. And a car can't be a sportscar without manual or atleast some sort of SMG.
Speaking of which...is the M3 SMG II really all that? I've heard conflicting viewpoints as to it's enhancing/detracting from performance. Yes, it seems to give you the flexibility of having an automatic and a manual at the same time but I think I would miss the clutch. I mean, driving a manual is an artform. It's like dancing...you take away the footwork and you lose some of the fun of the actual the dance.
Am I completely off here?

Isn't SMG basically a manual car but computer/electronics control everything? I HEARD that the BMW SMG Gen II has one of the FASTEST shifts. It's published at 80 millisec. /shift....that's faster than any human could shift. Correct me if i'm wrong....

SMG is taking the better to both worlds manu/auto. To most sport is defined by manual and luxury is defined by auto. It's hard to differenciate BMW/MB, weather it's a sports car, or luxury car, or sport luxury.
Manual shifting has a higher fun factor, but i think the manuf. are considering that most ppl who buy their car's are everyday drivers, and "casual" sport drivers, so they make most of their cars auto with a sport shift option.
But there's a problem if it was the other way around, if you are a sport driver everyday and a casual daily driver...you can have all the fun factor, but how about times that you want the car to shift on it own, you can't.
I think it will all depend on supply and demand.
