I was on my way to my girlfriends last night, had no inclination of doing anything in terms of looking for a race because honestly i don't go out looking for them and to top it off my car is bone stock (sad to say) been saving the money for headers and lowering which is coming up this feb.

on my way, this little b with an itch in a Probe GT (V6) decides to cut me off numerous times and so does a mazda mx-6 (V6) owner. i was just trying to get to my girlfriends because it was late, well they pissed me off after the third time they cut me off .....

so after the mazda got his opening and took off as did the probe, which were both a good 3 car lengths ahead of me (i was scared to follow too close after my integra was totalled by a hit and run driver just a few months ago) i downshifted to fourth and i screamed away,

i zipped by the mazda mx-6 and i saw him give up when i reached 4 car lengths ahead of him, but the stupid girl in the probe GT kept trying, even after being back about 15 car lengths. i saw her just trying and trying and there wasn't anyone in the way of her trying to accelerate, except i think there was one thing, she forgot she owned a car that wasn't worth the gas.

she kept trying after a little bit i slowed down, let her catch up and ahead of me i saw a CHP so naturally i went back to normal driving but she didn't see him, zipped across 4 lanes and thought she was cool, next thing i saw was her getting scared shitless seeing a CHP in front of her only by a few car lengths, i saw her brake lights come on and she didn't bother coming near me again. i was so hoping that she was going to get a ticket but had she gotten one, i guess karma woulda kicked in and i woulda gotten one eventually.

but in the end, she's probably still saying "i'll never mess with a CL-S again" just like the mazda owner realized 3 miles back.

actually this isn't the first time a girl has wan't to race me, when i had my integra i had quite a few girls that would just race for the hell of it, not like this stupid girl. all the other times it would be fun where they'd pull up to me and smile then pull away and i'd follow and we'd go back and forth like that, but never bothered to get any #'s, now that i think of it, i shoulda!

Don't be too cocky with Probe GT's or MX-6's. They run high to mid 14's with simple bolt-on's and its not just 1 or 2 freak cars, there are dozens of them that pull it off.

i wasted 2 different probe gt's over the summer in my moms volvo cross country... ive seen probe gts in magazines that get some pretty fast times though....

the only reason why i wasn't worried about the probe gt is because one of my friends had one and i knew what it was capable of.

A probe GT or an MX-6 isn't going to hang with a 6spd!

Agreed! I owned a 626 V6 5sp that ran mid-upper 15s stock. (And we're talking 164hp-crank. NOT MUCH) But, I/H/E/Pulleys do wonders for that motor.

so you're saying it takes mod's on these car's to take a stock CL-S 6spd? Don't see the strength in that then cuz what if the CL-S is modded, then what you going to do? CL-S at the crank is about 260hp, and around 230hp approx at the wheel. our stock hp at the wheel is more than what you guys put out at the crank!

I owned an MX-6 LS, five speed. It was my favorite car that I ever owned, including the Bimmers....

That car just had such a sweet feel to it, even if it was a 15 second car.

I hear ya Tom2 I had a Probe GT for years.

That platform and engine perform like a dream like a little brother to the 6-speed CLS but not the CLS league with their 10 year old technology. But that is one sweet machine actually thinking about a Probe as a commuter car you can pick a 93 - 95 one up for around 2 - 3 grand because it's a Ford but it's got the Mazda technology. The Mazda 6 is simply today's version of that powerplant at 220 bhp

understandable, i never take any car for granted, but i do make educated estimates as to the performance of that car either modded or not comparing them to whichever car i may be in, i always drove my integra that way, and same goes for my cl-s.

once i was in my integra and i had a viper rev me! need i say anything more as to what i even remotely tried to do after that?

but after the viper rev'd me, a porsche 911 turbo came up and rev's him, and then we had a full on race goin between the viper and porsche, all i could do is keep up to watch them, now that was a fun race!

Otherwise I'd take PORNSTAR and piss all down your throat! My other car is a Probe GT with 165K miles on it, and I'll put her up against you. Don't underestimate these cars, you got a shitty driver with no mods. We start at 164 HP but can get to 230 easily which gets us pretty close to your 260 and 6 speed tranny.

Not to pick a fight or flame you, but be careful who you stick with no vaseline!

Besides, you might see me on the 57 this weekend as I return to Cali on Friday for a few days. I'll be between Long Beach, Venice and Ontario.

for one thing, i didn't underestimate the car, like i said, one of my friends owned a probe gt and had it all fixed up, headers, exhaust, intake, ignition, throttle body, and a whole bunch of other mods. if you read in my previous post i said:

maybe you're right, maybe her car wasn't modded enough, maybe she didn't know how to drive it. who knows. but i was just raising a point to talk about. not to put anybody down. i'm a car enthusiast, not a car hater.

my gf has a 93 Mx6 LS V6 auto... it has 60k miles on it now... i think i drove about half of those 60k Nice car BUT... RATTLES OMG.... u think CL has rattle problems?? wait till u sit in the MX6... especially for the back...the whole car shakes when changing lane from running those dots on the road...

i dont know how long will that shit last .... but it s alright interior for a 93.

ohhh and her tranny... the whole car jerks BAD when changing gears....
she just ordered the white G35C auto...cant wait to put another 30k on that babe
