In market for a CL

Hi guys,
I'm a new member and looking for a CL. Should I go with the type S or just CL?
I've heard about the tranmission problem on the auto and kinda moving toward the 6 speed. What should I look for when buying a CL? any inputs are appreciated..

I see a lot of 6speeds on the market you might just be too picky with color miles or location.
That being said there will always be more autos simply because more were made.

I found an 03 6s with 101k miles and the guy was asking for $9000. Is it a good deal or it's too much? the car is Black on Black with no mod.

Way much. I just bought an 03 6 speed for $8100. 1 owner , 89,000 miles.. Timing belt, water pump and all done at 70,000 miles at Acura dealer..

God damn, waiting on shipping companies sucks! Hopefully it arrives this week..

How u could buy a car without seeing and driving it is simply insane to me. There are so many things that can make a car worth it or not. Hope it all turns out for u. I just don't like rolling the dice

The CL is a good car, but not an amazing car and there are some better purchases these days.

The 6 speed is really the only model worth getting because your choices are somewhat limited in its segment. There just weren't a whole lot of two door semi-luxury performance cars from that time period that came with manual.

Yeah, it's coming from MA to MO lol.

I know, it was a bit of a gamble but service history is impeccable and it looks really great. Its an 03 with 6 speed and black on black interior, couldnt pass it up. I could not find one like this with navigation, but figure I can retrofit it

just sold an 08 bmw 550, it was getting to be too expensive.

Reading this, I'm curious what I could get for my '01 CL auto, with 65k miles. Transmission was rebuilt last year, included a 2 year/24k mile Warranty. Haven't done the timing belt yet, but if still in my possession will get done this year (probably this summer). Nothing else wrong with the car, few small dings & scratches, which I blame my mother for. This was her car, bought brand new in 2001, and she barely drove the car for all these years till August 2011, when I got the car. My car is the dark blue, with light tan leather interior, sunroof, etc. I loved this car when mom bought it, and was happy to take it from her when she bought a brand new VW nearly two years ago. I'm still happy with this car, and can see this thing easily hitting well over 100k miles or even 200k. I'm just wanting something a tad more sportier/faster to play with. But then again, it's NICE not having a car payment, too!

I hear ya. I used to buy brand new car and pay out a lot for excise taxes and car payment every month. Right now i'm getting away from the car payment and looking for something affordable and reliable. After searching for awhile, the CL and TL are my choices. It's a peace of mind without having a car payment every month. But if you can afford it, go for it.

hi guys
I found an 01 CL with 129k miles and an 01 CLS with 99k miles. The CLS just recently has transmission replaced. The CL was asking $3700 and the CLS was $3900. I feel something fishy about the mileage. They're bot 12 years old cars and only had that many miles...What do u guys think??

There were just two separate CLS6 on Craigslist here for $5K. Check dc Craigslist but more than likely they're gone. Good luck

That mileage is realistic my 03 has 97k currently. Like bigdaddyKA8 was saying you can find a 6 speed for a little bit more.

Been debating about selling my 6speed Navi, moving to Cali and not sure if I feel like taking off the headers and tint. It have 173k on it, but runs like a champ! FL car so pretty much spotless under the hood and under carriage.
