man, i think my tint is too light!
i got my windows finally done, all five of them, i got 35% thinking that it would be darker cause i said I wanted 30% and he said there wouldn't be much of a difference, and i got 21% on the back window which is noticeable darker, on the 35% it's like I can't really tell if there is tint there or not, i mean is more shiny and all but damn, i kinda wish i put 21% all around
See if u can go back and ask em to redo it... doubt they will for free
But i think they may be able to put another layer on to make it darker..
u might as get it done once and be happy with it then to kick urself everytime u see ur car from a distance

well here's the situation, when putting tint on my back corner window, they scratched the OUTSIDE, so they said they will replace that window and retint it, then, on the driver window i showed them there were scratches in the tint, so he said that he'll retint that for me, so i'm thinking i minus well retint wit 21%, and pay some to get the other two windows tinted 21% too, we kinda agreed on something along the 80-100 dollar range to remove and retint the two remaining windows, what you guys think?
tint
how much was it in the first place. Well tint removal for an entire car is usually 40 dollars and to retint a whole 2 door car such as a cl is 120 to 140 and two windows is usually 40-50 so its up to you to add it up

wow ur kinda bein ripped off. Ask them wat u can do to lower the price such as remove door panels remove back deck and ask them how much it would be to buy just the tint from them. And then add it up for yourself but in hawaii its 140 for a whole car 15 for a front strip or sunvisor and 25 for a sunroof
Originally I had 35% tint also and thought it wasn't dark enough. But thank god I didn't pass inspection so I had to take it off.
Got it re-tinted with 20% and IMO, it's perfect, not extremely dark but yet not light either.

Good luck with 20% in california....it's not if, but when you will have to take that tint off the front windows. But if it makes you feel better, go for it. I only have 30% on my sides and 20 on the rear, and mine is plenty dark enough. And I live in AZ, home of the scorching sun!!
I told you I had 30% on my 98 CL, and as you saw it looked great. What made you go with a lighter tint?

the thing is, they didn't have 30%, they had 35% and it seemed a little too light for me, i mean i ask most people and they say they don't really notice that i do have the tint, and during a bright day, the tint actually looks greenish mirrorish look, i just want it to look good and a little noticeable
