Make me an offer?

I own a 1998 3.0 cl with 45k miles. I want to trade it in on a 2001 cl-s pdg no/navi. The sales manager said make him an offer. I was thinking my car + 8k. To high to low? what do you think
P.S.
the 2001 pdg has 5500 miles

You would be luck if accepted with $10K!

I guess he would be pay no more 15,000 for you CL and he will ask no less then $25K for the CLS

There are a couple of reasons I went that low
1. the car has been on the lot for a long time
2. pdg is a tough color to sell
3. It has a lot of miles for a "new" car
4. the 2003 will be comming out soon
5. 2003 manual trany=lots of trade ins
I was actually thinking of going lower or getting him to throw in some free treats

Exactly...take him low as possible, if there's 10 CLS on that lot I KNOW they won't go with the manual coming out. So walk out if he doesn't go low enough because he WILL fold because he has to sell them or he loses money. If he lets you go first he'll think you'l come back but just say if u change ur mind call me and give him ur #. HE'LL CALL!

I think it's a demo but i'm not sure haven't seen it in person or talked hard numbers. I know that no break in is bad and people punnish demo cars, but if I can get him to throw extended waranty in and have a mechanic look at it do you think it's worth it.
How much can I get for my 3.0 private sell?
Been to kbb,edmonds,nada,traderonline
How far under invoice will he be allowed to go?
22k

Never a demo

The CLS has enogh problems to worry about let alone a DEMO driven hard with no break in period.

The extend coverage will only save you some money but the car will in ths shop for repairs.

I would say look for private buy or one of those guys trading in for the 03 6-sp Edition.

I know Leith Acura in Cary, NC just got a 23500 mile Silver CLS non-Nav ... you should be able to get a good deal on that one. I traded it in to them last Friday. Slight scratch on one of the rims, but other than that I took pretty good care of it.
