I just noticed that on startup, my maintenance required light is flashing for about 10 secs. I know it does this at 7K miles, but why is it doing it at 21k?

I haven't had an oil change for about 3200 miles. I always take it to the dealer and have them drop in the oil. Do you think it is because they set the maint required light to flash 3K miles after the last oil change? Any ideas?

I noticed this after I came from the track. I hope I didn't fuck something up.

 

There is an acura service at 22.5k miles.

 

Funny you mentioned this, because it just started happening to me. I just hit 6k and the light flashes about 7 times and goes out. I have not read the manual yet, but I'm guessing it goes off 1.5k before scheduled maintenance.

 

Maint req'd will begin flashing at app 3,750 miles "after the last time it was reset", and then at app 7,500 again "after the last time it was reset" it will stay on.
