Main relay
replaced my main relay yesterday. What a pain in the ass.
location is just under left side under dash for a 03 cls.
Not much room to work in. Best way is to take dash bolster off
under steering wheel, hard to reach just from underneath. sorry forgot to take pics.
One 10 mm bold holds the main relay bracket, but very hard to maneuver. not much space. 10mm ratcheting socket is your best bet. The main relay to identify has a "BROWN" electrical socket with bunch of electrical wires. about 2/12 inches by 1 1/2. (mine was gray in color)
Once bracket is off, pretty much unplug and replace relay.
hardest part is putting bracket back on.
