I have these, they're great. They'll be very quiet after first getting them installed but after a couple of days you'll start to hear them. Very nice sound. Deep but not too deep and they dont drone at highway speeds. They're mean but still classy

From what I understand the exhaust shop needs to weld a flange to the end of the muffler so it will bolt up to the other flange on the stock y pipe. I'm assuming they would have to add some pipe as well to make it fit right. This way they can be bolted on and off if needed to return to stock.

Can someone with these exact mufflers and stock pipes post a pic from underneath to show how the installation was done?
Just curious... Thanks

These are 2 1/4 inlet. I am not using the stock exhaust. I am having 2 1/4 pipes mandrel bent by a custom exhaust shop from the cat back to these.

http://www.bromleysauto.com/Exhaust.htm

That's the shop. I have an appointment for next Friday

I decided on 2 1/4 as I think some back pressure is beneficial towards not giving up too much torque. Am I wrong?

your right but if I was you I would do the 2.5 just because you never know what the future might bring. I learned to always build for the present and posisble future

I hear you but this is about my final engine mod. (I may do pulleys)

I have no intention of putting on a turbo or SC and already have intake & headers.

To the engine? I forgot I have Power Rev spacer & Thermal Gaskets and may do the plenums, What else outside of FI is there?

I do still have the suspension to do, I have the springs & shocks & need sways but that won't be done until next year because I am moving and then the holidays are coming. Lots to do.

That would happen during a rebuild. Porting polishing, boring the cylinders etc. If I did that it would be years from now and if spending another couple hundred on the exhaust will be fine.

For now I think 2 1/4 is fine.

dude just get the 2.5 now and leave it. No need to waste money. The 2.5 wont hurt it. I mean if there is a huge price difference between 2.5 and 2.25 piping them I would understand.

Yes you can have them connected to your stock pipes but that will still leave alot of constriction. It's loud. I would probably go with a resonator if I had it to do over, might have one added.
