I was going from from my office to the plant the other day. There's a nice stretch of industrial area that's pretty desolate and fun to zip through. One of my dispatchers was going to lunch and would be going the same direction. I pulled out in front of him a barked the wheels a little to let him know I was in the mood to play a little. He's got a 91 Stealth - totally stock with the 5sp. We were running the 30-40 mph before we got to the industrial area & he was moving left & right behind me just to screw with me.
When we turned the corner into the industrial area, I mashed the gas & he did the same. I pulled away and he couldn't keep up! I let-off just over 90 (still have a certified bent rim that hasn't been replaced on the rear yet....car feels a little loose). I was quite a few car lengths ahead of him.

He followed me to the plant & said he couldn't believe it...I couldn't either!

so which is it?

1.) a stock 98 3.0 just whips ass on it's own?
2.) he can't drive a 5sp to save his ass?
3.) a 91 Stealth ain't as hot as I thought it was?

Anyway - he offered to take them onto the thruway and try it again......he's got lots more top-end than I can put together......I know this for a FACT!


Either way - I was pretty suprised at my little CL!

I drove one of the these cars one time- not impressed at all esp. when I looked out the side mirror and noticed the rear panel sticks out!

 

If its not the VR-4, or whatever Dodge called it, it aint shiet. They had 200 hp V-6's and not much else.

 

nah - wasn't VR4

Just a 5sp Stealth.

 

Almost forgot, GOOD KILL!!

 

Yeah, the Twin-Trubo 320 HP beast is a whole different animal.
