M6 Bulbs question

Just wondering if other people's bulbs are "loose" like mine, I installed them, they work great but the bulb kinda sits in the ballast, not like the Cl stock bulb which is real snug. I tried to push it in father but didn't want to push to hard (already broke one trying to get it snug) I've had the bulbs in for about 2 months. Just wondering if everyone else has had the same expirience? Also any advice on changing the bulbs once you have installed a M^ (meaning how to I pull it out without the bulb falling into the housing?

the "looseness" in which you are talking about... i have never experienced it myself. the bulbs i changed into my road lamps are always snug and do not feel like they're going to fall out. maybe it's your connecter that's loose... try to go get it checked.

as for changing the M6 bulbs... i just broke the fuck out of the bulb... as in i just shook the housing and the bulb smashed into pieces. then i just shake out the little pieces and replace it with a new one. not the best method... but it works for me

have you tried putting back the stock bulbs? if it feels the same as the M6, then i'd go have it checked...with the stock bulb in there, of course!

I do have the same problem. It is not real lose but does not fit as snug as the stock bulb. I was also wondering if it's normal for the bulb to sit like that.

When I put my M6's they did not feel loose, they fit as tight as stock..try the methos that icy CL says..if it is still loose with your stock, then take it to the dealer and show them how loose the stock one is.

I did the test when i was installing them and stock was tight but the M6 was not as tight. It does not fall out the socket and has a slight play, but is not as tight as the stock bulb. I believe the problem is due to the thicker basepost on the M6 bulb that does not allow it to completely goin flush in the socket. IMHO

Ok good to know. Yes my M6s don't fall out, but you put it nicely they do have more play than the stock and I also noticed the bigger part of the bulbs, thats how the first one broke, I tried to push it in farther, and it went CRACK. pissed me offf consideirng I had only ordered 2 of them I now have extras Nice to know it was just me.

when i put in my new 18w piaa's, i got the feeling that one was loose. one felt snug though. i'm talking about the connection. as far as passing it thru that little hole, i havent figured out a good way to get the bulbs out once they burn out, since they were such a tight fit in. i just slid my hand up thru the mud guard, i didnt remove the housing or anything.

Yes I would agree they took a little convincing to get so, I am assuming they won't come out without a fight and knowing these bulbs fight means pieces in the housing
