LS2 couldnt reel me in

Thats right, a C6 vette engine powered vehicle couldnt pull past me in my slower than stock 6 speed CL-S.

We were going about 80mph and he got alongside me after slowly passing me. He was pacing me and I knew he wanted to go. I dropped it into 4th and at the same time jumped into the next lane and gunned it. I def got the jump on him, but i figured 400hp vs. 260hp I deserve a little something off the bat. I didnt go to 3rd because i would have had to shift almost immediately. By the time I got to the top of 4th he was still about even with me, and def didnt get past me.

Oh yeah and I have my heavy as sin 19's on, but no system, but i bet i'm running 15's right now. lol Still not slow from a highway roll though.

Oh yeah, and it was a Trailblazer SS, so no flaming saying I claimed to have beat a Vette.

nice win

i hate to say it but the Trailblazer SS's are very sexy yet gas guzzling SUV's. but i dont expect GM to make them for that much longer.

And the "Brick" aerodynamics of the Trailblazer definitely gave you some help at those speeds. I'm sure you pissed him off.

why the fuck should the SUV's be made faster here in the States and not have the faster international counterparts of car models released here?

Nice run. I am very impressed with the CL-S from a rolling start. Good thing you didn't race from a dig because that LS2 gets the AWD TBSS off the line in a hurry. I don't imagine they are top end machines like my Impala SS and your CL-S.

Crippler is back... I actually went and test drove some Impalas this past weekend. They are actuallly solid cars, I was impressed by the build quality and the interior cabin.

But I found out a piece of knowledge from the salesman, I can't believe that the SS Impala is front wheel drive with over 300ftlbs of torque. Thats just ridiculous.....

Are my facts correct?

Yeah it has 323 ft/lbs of torque, but we are plagued with something called torque management. TM goes beyond traction control and cannot be shut off unless you reprogram the pcm.
