Stock is +55 in a 17x7" rim w/215/50-17 (OEM -- works)
HREs 17x7.5" +52 and SSR Comps 17x8" +48 with Comptech lowering and 235/45-17 (works fine)
18s -- ask...
19x8" +51 offset with 2" drop works without rubbing.
19x8" +45 offset works without drop (lowering results coming)..
Calling Smokey Yunick, calling Smokey Yunick, offset call on line #3...

i know the 19x8/45 offset muse will fit your car. that is the lowest offset you should go if you get 8" wide rims, so there is possible rubbing when you lower and definite rubbing if you have a fully loaded car and/or hit bad road surfaces. there are also other car characteristics that will affect rubbing like a trunk full of stereo gear, camber corrected wheels, etc. you can ease the problem if you go with a 225/35/ tire instead of a 235/35 tire, or go with a higer offset (for other brand of wheels if possible) on either tire size.

However, the load rating on the 225/35-19 tires I've located so far are only 88SL... IMO -- not safe *or* (not safe if the driver is not fully warned of load issues...)

By flush, do you mean flush with the inside fender lip in the back of the car?

eman, so do you think i can get 18x7.5 in 42 offset, and lowered with pro-kit, and have no problems????
what happens when you fill your car up?..then any rubbing?

i have had 4 people in my car and have NEVER had any rub. i can only assume that a +42 will work. i guess that all depends on how much the prokit drops you car. a +42 will bring the wheel in an extra 5mm compared to my +37 so i think you should be ok, IMO.
