Lowering question...

If I got the comptech springs, & my struts wore out at say 30K miles, & I needed new ones. Would my warranty be voided? I have heard the springs wear out the stock struts faster. Can a dealer tell they are aftermarket springs? Comptech looks very close to the stock ones. Tring to decide if I want to lower, but i don't want a strut problem 30K miles down the road, while still in warranty. I also don't want to upgraded to some coil over setup, & loose my ride quailty. I have ridden in a Comptech lowered CLS & can just stand that ride. Anyway to get a set of stock springs, & cut a little off of them, to only lower an inch?

If you lower the car and keep the stock shocks (like I did) you’re on your own as far as shock life.
Warranty won’t pay for them unless your dealer is a DOLT.
The life of the shocks WILL be diminished, but no one knows exactly how much.
