third was great.

i just installed a brand new k&n filter.

third, feels a lot slower then yesterday.

With out a before/after dyno you can't blame the filter. A filter really will not matter anyway.
Check the simple stuff. like any restrictions, loose, unplugged lines, & check if the IMRC is working.
Your cars ECU may also still be learning & adjusting.

What was the weather like? That plays a big part in power output.
