Lost my 01 CL Type S keys need help

What’s up guys. I lost my Acura’s keys. I have a spare but no remote. The key is not programmed so the immobilizer won’t let it turn on. Can anyone guide me in the right direction to reprogram it?

Thank You Everyone.

The dealer is your best bet to program a key. They use the Honda software and it’s pretty quick. Since you have a working non programmed key, there’s a procedure where you can input the “immobilizer brake code” using the parking brake or brake pedal. You would have to ask your dealer to run the vin through their database and get the code. I did this exact procedure on an 2007 Accord so I know it does work. Once you get it started using the non programmed key with the bypass you can drive it to the dealer and have new keys cut and programmed. As far as the remote, you can purchase those on eBay and program them yourself.

ACURA EMERGENCY ENGINE START PROCEDURE: (CL, TL & INTEGRA)

1. Make a mechanical key that will work the ignition lock cylinder.
2. Have the customer get the “Immobilizer Brake Code” from the dealer or Honda Customer Relations. You will need the Vehicle Identification Number. This is a five digit number code. Each car has a different “Immobilizer Brake Code” since they are VIN specific.
3. Turn the ignition switch to the ON position (II).
4. Have the BRAKE CODE in front of you. To enter the first number of the BRAKE CODE, press and release the brake pedal the same number of times as the first number in the BRAKE CODE. For example if the first number in the BRAKE CODE is a 2, press and release the brake pedal 2 times.
5. Turn the ignition switch to the LOCK position.
6. Within 30 seconds, turn the ignition switch to the ON position (II) and enter the 2nd number in the BRAKE CODE.
7. Turn the ignition switch to the LOCK position.
8. Within 30 seconds, turn the ignition switch to the ON position (II) and enter the 3rd number in the BRAKE CODE.
9. Turn the ignition switch to the LOCK position.
10. Within 30 seconds, turn the ignition switch to the ON position (II) and enter the 4th number in the BRAKE CODE.
11. Turn the ignition switch to the LOCK position.
12. Within 30 seconds, turn the ignition switch to the ON position (II) and enter the 5th number in the BRAKE CODE.
13. Turn the ignition switch to the LOCK position.
14. After entering the 5th number, the Immobilizer Indicator light on the dash should flash 5 times and then shut off. The car should now start. This procedure must be repeated each time you turn off the car for more than 10 minutes. The Immobilizer System indicator will remain on while the engine is running.
IMPORTANT NOTE: If the customer finds his/her keys or drives home to get them, they cannot use them until the vehicle has been turned off for more than 10 minutes.
