Suze would probably say sell it...
From a financial standpoint, new cars are a bad investment. Old cars like Rusty, will get you where you need to go, and aren't going to depreciate much anymore.
If Lord Helmet was going to sell the CLS because he wanted to buy a house, then this would be a no brainer...
House > Car...
BUT, it sounds like Chris just wants to get rid of the CLS so that he can buy something else (after he gets some money saved)...
My advice: Keep the CLS, pay her off, stop spending money on mods, and start saving for the next car... Of course, you could start saving imediately if you sold the CLS and drove Rusty too, but since this is the CL forum, I can "officially" recomend that
<---- Still stock, car's paid off, and $300 a month goes into the "next car" fund instead of spending it on mods.
Big downpayment > no downpaymet
I'm thinking that I might eventually end up keeping the CLS as a beater and use the "next car" fund to buy an older sportscar...

After some careful thought last night and with some persuasion from a friend, I might just keep her. I really want to get some money saved up though and it's hard to do it with this car. It seems like I'm always spending money on it. Like you said, Greenie, I need to stop the modding but it's addictive. The solution? Get a part-time, second job to save up money and pay more on the CL every month. That will give me more equity in it, and maybe a year from now I can trade it for a 6spd without putting much down. Remember, I'm cheap, and I'm indecisive so who knows if it will work or not but I think I might give it a try.
