it is really awesome at conrnering...stable....
it is really a good car to own..but not so powerful lol...i mean 4 cylinder model..
Vr4 are not reliable at all.
Ginash, everyone has different ideas, just go with the one you like. My buddy just picked up a 1997 CL 3.0 for 6k for winter, why dont you do that. You will be fine with FWD, just add some snow tires on a fwd car and you will be golden.

wont do a 1997 CL, because it's gonna have hella miles. I want something like under 50k miles/ and under10k. Cant get a CL like that..although it would be a somewhat of a homecoming....

Okay, Cherokee lovers.. what do you guys think of the V6 Jeep Grand Cherokee as opposed to the V8? I'm not looking for hardcore power... I would rather save $$ on gas.

definitely a good buy. one of my friends has the v6. it does not feel underpowered at all. its actually pretty quick, and has good torque. gets much better gas mileage than the V8.
I would still say get the cherokee sport instead of the grand cherokee, handling is much better.

haha.
I think I got around 18 city when I used to drive my dads Cherokee Sport. Its a V6 with 190 hp though, compared to a RAV4 which is a 4 cylinder with 148 hp. The toyota gets 22 city.
Jeep = 225 torque
Rav4= 142 torque

I believe the jeep is a I6 not a v6,,, I had a 92 4x4 cherokee for 50k miles and didn't have any problems,, I kept a detailed log and ave 15 mpg in town and got 20-22 on the HW.
better of buying one here in texas (no rust)

i dont understand why people are scared to drive rwd car in winter? You have to remember most cars these days have high tech traction control systems that work great in snow.
I was scared too at first then i put snow tires on my 330ci and it was no problems at all in the snow.
I bet Scrib will come back and say how nice the G handled with the snow tires. :P

actually scratch that, it didn't handle like anything because it couldn't go anywhere.

Does it have the kind of traction control systems that are found on 30-40k cars? :P
