Looking for a new mechanic in So Cal

Ive been going to the same mechanic for about a year because my old mechanic before him sucked(like told me i didnt need a new timing belt when it was going to break any minute). Now this mechanic that Ive been going to is starting to not do all that great either. He charges me 12 bucks for oil change so Ill still go there for that.
The problem is, my A/C is busted. Ive tried the recharge but the next day it started not working again. I took it to my mechanic and all he did was the recharge and charged me 35 bucks for it. Same shit happened and it didnt work the next day. I need a new mechanic that knows what hes doin. Anyone in So Cal know of any reputable honda/acura mechanics/techs that do not cost an arm or a leg?

Kennedy on Calvert around the corner from Keyes Acura in Van Nuys. They only do Honda and Acura. I found John Kennedy priced fair and the service quite good on my aging Integra some years ago. Google for the exact address and phone number.

My friends and I do all the work ourselves. From turbo kits installation on an IS300, to swapping motors (not an everyday thing, but do have the equipment to do so). But then again, itz our cars, never someone's we dont know. We have almost all the tools you need for anything, even got the goodies to reprogram an ecu....but right now we're havig issues reprogramming that IS300's ecu...pain in the butt. But yea, as for that AC of yours....if you can find out what's wrong, just get the parts, and just come to us for any installation...

My next project is my tranny, just got me another one, should be here by the end of this week, or begining of next.....therefore I'm going to have my other one sitting around so that I can play with it, hehe...already found some lil things here and there that I can do to it, gonna try them out....

Autowave in Huntington Beach is good. Talk to Steve. Honda and Acura only. They know their stuff.

Street Image in Baldwin Park. Many people on this board use this shop and I gurantee it will be one of the TOP shops in the area in the next year. He's the only person I'd let touch my car.
He is expensive though

# is 626 962 1503

As far as things like A/C and stuff I'd use Honda/Acura of Seal Beach. It's just a little independent shop.

Street Image is the place to go. Eric, the owner and mechanic there has been in the motorsports industry for ages. He was previously R&D for AEM and also at goodridge. He currently builds all the race motors for HASPORTs.

I wouldn't say that he is expensive though. He does quality work at competitive prices.

blxmjx introduced me to Eric and I've been going to him for all my work. Before he opened up shop, I would leave my car at his house for a few nights with no problems.
