Looking at 01 s w/89k...

...sound like too many miles? What should I look for on a cl-s w/89k on it? New trans? Seems decent at 10000 asking price.

Lots of third parties do on the drive train....I do not have one, but was offered one that would last until 235,000 on the drive train for ~$2000. I just could not afford it when I bought the car...

Dunno about thnav but i have a Magellan.

And the last warranty i bought for 1500, Wannty Gold, went belly up and left 10,000s holding their own bag.

BTW, what's a rebuilt trans cost?

I think that's for a reinforced tranny capable of handling mods better.

Can anyone post down the names of third parties who give out the 235,000 mile warrenty?

This warrenty sounds like it's worth the money

How much usually does it cost to replace the tranny stock 01 type s 5at?

Where can you purchase the reinforced one, and any members on here who have it?

That's a good price. I paid a little more for mine with 100K miles. Mine is nearly perfect in and out and has navi and new tires. On its second trans. Hopefully it'll last a long time. I'm encouraged by the post in this thread from the guy w/ about 150K miles on the orig. trans. I love this car and I hope to have it for a while...
