When your spark plugs were replaced 35k miles ago who did it was it you or was it a shop or fried? Cuz when you change plugs on a motor with aluminum heads your supposed to loosen the plugs a 1/4 turn by hand then start the car rev it for 5 seconds & then turn the car off and fully remove the plugs by hand & put all the new plugs in by hand too no pneumatic or power tools . The reason that you only loosen them a 1/4 turn and then start the car again & rev it is when you do that it blows out all the built up carbon on the threads. If you don't do that you have a good chance of striping or cross-threading the threads & then your screwed. So if whoever changed your plugs didn't do that when they changed the plugs thats probably what caused that to happen. No one may have ever done that when they changed the plugs during the life of the car so it could have accumulated over time or it could of just been the last time they were changed. Surprisingly not a lot of people know to do that especially middle aged mechanics that work on older cars cuz they never had to do that before cuz aluminum heads are fairly new. The only reason I knew that was cuz I use to work @ a Porsche dealer & Porshce makes everything out of aluminum. If it was a dealer or shop that changed the plugs & you can prove that they didn't change the plugs correctly like I stated & can prove thats what caused it they'll be held reliable to repair the damage free of charge. So good luck with it but I would look into what I wrote.

First of all he said he replaced them.
Second, please tell me where its law that anybody has to change your plugs like that or be held liable. I have never heard of changing plugs that way and never have I changed plugs that way on any aluminium head. Guess how many spark plugs have just shot out of my engines? ZERO! And aluminium heads have been around a long time dude at least as far back as the 1960's in american cars. Nothing new there! A little carbon build up is not going to cause the threads to mushroom like that. That"s caused from over tourqe.

youre definitely not supposed to run your engine with the plugs loosed. once you break the seal with the first 1/4 turn the job is done. the plug should come out easily. for those of you that tend to overtorque shit i would recommend a tq wrench.
i would also advise against listening to h's gray cl

Im pretty sure you're suppose to with the aluminum blocks. Its a softer metal and can cause stretching with the excessive heat if you do the job after the cars been running.

Whats up with RDX owners?

Just remember its not a permanent fix. But Im glad you got it taken care of. BTW, if you dont have a torque wrench, just tighten the spark plugs finger tight plus 1/4 turn.

i'll try get new heads then odyssey or mdx short block... build it then swap over it thats the best way for me to do it.
but still what is weird for me that i had misfire on 4 cylinders not just one...
other thing is how could i made 30 k miles on that spark plug b4 it flew away

The misfire was probably from bad fuel injectors. I also had random misfire codes. I found out that i had 2 bad fuel injector, and a bad coil. hope to see your cl running again
