i saw a 65 year old guy yesterday pull out of the Bimmer Store (www.thebimmerstore.com) in a grey Viper RT/10 with normal tags (it was HIS car)

OBVIOUSLLY the GT2 is a driver's car and there is more that goes into it rather than looks and the people that buy them, but how often do you think the people buying them are going to take their shiny Porsche to the tracks rather than park it in their reserved spot at the office?

its the fucking concept. sticking an intake ABOVE the fucking hood seems a bit more aggressive than a typical fuckin cold air. its NOT forced induction, its just somewhat similar. jesus fucking godalmighty christ.

its like saying that by drinking alcohol youre doing drugs. alcohol is not a "drug" per se, but youre still getting fucked up. ram air is not "forced induction" per se, but youre still getting a lot more air into the engine, regardless of whether it actually WORKS or not (your little 300mph idea)

Ram Air is a type of induction, it is not forced induction, it is not "half" forced induction. It's a fucking intake bro.

No it is not similar. There is no mechanical device moving more air into the engine than it can use. Ram air is just a good way to get cool air into the engine. There is little to no manifold gage pressure created negating any comparison to forced induction.
