Look at this mans garage

I wonder what he will be getting in place of the GT-2. The license plate says it all. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...tem=2458300614

i dont' know, the viper and GT2 are definately drivers cars. Most don't buy those unless they seriously know what they are doing behind the wheel. Atleast the GT2 is that way. A normal person trying to show off their money would get a TT

most dont DRIVE them unless they seriously know what they are doing behind the wheel. anybody with tons of money buys them.

i saw a 65 year old guy yesterday pull out of the Bimmer Store (www.thebimmerstore.com) in a grey Viper RT/10 with normal tags (it was HIS car)

id bet he was just checking out the Gallardo parked out front, maybe he was feeling even more insecure after buying the Viper so he needed something pricier?

you are an idiot man, complete idiot.

and how do you know the guy w/ the viper doesn't know how to drive? Hell I know a handfull of people over 70 that drive the living piss out of cars, still attend track days, etc.

Seriously, you really don't know anything when it comes to cars

just because you dont agree with my views on certain people who drive certain cars?

OBVIOUSLLY the GT2 is a driver's car and there is more that goes into it rather than looks and the people that buy them, but how often do you think the people buying them are going to take their shiny Porsche to the tracks rather than park it in their reserved spot at the office?

ive known PLENTY of assholes in 911s and M3s that do nothing but pick up groceries in it.

i have just as much time to waste as you do reading about cars. the information is there, its not like it takes a true genius to decypher it. my opinions of people read nothing into my knowledge of cars asshole

actually, i've had hands on work since I was basically born, that's where my knowledge comes from.

Also, you don't read enough about cars. hence your RAM AIR being forced induction nonsense. Then the stupidity you brought to the Huge Turbo thread, the list goes on and on.

ram air is sort of forced induction. it works off of the speed that the car is going already. it doesnt suck in air independently like any conventional forced induction, but once you get to a certain speed the torque curve goes up. its half forced induction.
how is that not accurate?

go look at the answer I gave you, because first of all RI doesn't even become effective till something like 300 MPH. And it is nowhere like FI. Unless you want to call a Cold Air Intake forced induction.

its the fucking concept. sticking an intake ABOVE the fucking hood seems a bit more aggressive than a typical fuckin cold air. its NOT forced induction, its just somewhat similar. jesus fucking godalmighty christ.

its like saying that by drinking alcohol youre doing drugs. alcohol is not a "drug" per se, but youre still getting fucked up. ram air is not "forced induction" per se, but youre still getting a lot more air into the engine, regardless of whether it actually WORKS or not (your little 300mph idea)

i'm sorry, but you are wrong

and how is it ANY different then a Cold Air intake that is sucking in air threw the bumper? Seems like the same thing however this is going through the hood.

thats a good point.

its different because Ram Air says RAM AIR in cool looking letters on a big hood scoop! :P

i know at this point youre right, but you see my logic anyway, so im not a complete and utter moron who never knew what i was thinking to begin with

edit: ive justified my mistake, now id appreciate it if i can go through my rocky teen years in peace

Ram Air is a type of induction, it is not forced induction, it is not "half" forced induction. It's a fucking intake bro.

No it is not similar. There is no mechanical device moving more air into the engine than it can use. Ram air is just a good way to get cool air into the engine. There is little to no manifold gage pressure created negating any comparison to forced induction.

Just FYI...

any "induction" is forced induction. its not voluntary induction. the way i thought of "forced induction" meant that "forced" goes without saying. then you said Ram Air is simply induction, so that kind of sheds some light on my way of thinking. i didnt have my terminology down, but i was thinking the right things

now i REALLY have to get back to school, damn addictive A-CL!!!!!!!!!
