That is some seriously retarded stuff.
What a way to wreck a car. But then if it's a POS before they did that, what does it matter...

I would have killed to a have a camera on me today. I was driving by a tech book store and I saw a car from the Minus IQ X-Files.
It was a 198x -- 199x Thurnderbird Supercoup with its paint half flaked off. It had 10" wide wheels in the font that stuck out 2" past the fender well. The rear had tires so wide that they extended 5 inches past the side of the fenders. The tires were actually touching the front and rear wheel wells at the top. The car was lowered to make sure that a nice burn mark could be seen in the paint about the front and rear wheel wells.
The car had a set of scoops on the front and side that looked like milk cartons glued on. I think I need to find some kind of throw away camera for events like this.
You guys would be on the floor
Sorry, no pictures -- darn, darn, darn, darn

That MR2 has to be a joke like the hands free cell phone adapter that was really just a rubber band. I read the specs. 190lbs of thrust? As a percentage of the car's weight, it doesn't sound like much. Jets are famous for guzzling fuel. 21gal probably wouldn't go far. And where do you get jet fuel, anyway? But I'd love to see the look on the service station attendent's face when the owner pulls in for his smog inspection.

You're right. Now that you mention it, the username does look familiar. I also remember wondering what the hell he was writing about. I just searched acura-cl and acura-tl for that user name and found nothing. Maybe he was a one time poster that got purged or something. I tried to search honda-acura.net but, surprise, its down.

It's not a joke, it was most likely something built out of junk parts by a shop class...it also probally isn't that fast since the thrust speed is only 190 lbs and they only run at 450 psi (should be more like 750) I bet it won't due above the 85 mph he said he did.
Reminds me of Back to the Future!!
