Loaner car went Up In Smoke!
Whats up guys, have'nt posted here in ages. Anyways I took my CL to North Scottsdale Acura for IMRC actuator and relay replacement, they said it would be a couple days to order parts. No problem, they gave me an RSX as a loaner. That was on Wednesday, next day Thursday Acura calls saying my car is ready, well I was just out the door to go to class so I'd have to pick it up on Friday. I really wish I could have picked up my car that day because late night Thursday Mr. RSX had a slight malfunction to say th least. Here's how it went. I went out to Circle K to get some refreshments
around midnight. On the way home traveling west on F.L.W. Blvd. going about 55 or so the car starts spewing smoke from under the car even smoking inside the car. NOT GOOD I said. Why did the motor blow when I'M driving the car. It only has 13,500 mi. on it. Shit, luckily I was like 1/16 of a mile to my apartments. Driving slowly back to my home I'm thinking why there was no "Check Engine" light on, or why the car ran perfectly as before the smoke. Anyways I pull in my garage turn it off and I hear the oil leaking on the floor. NOT GOOD I say once more! Grabed a flashlight looked under the car thinking the worst, and what do I see, its what I don't see, no oil drain bolt. That was a relief knowing the motor did not blow! It's pretty sad the techs. can't tighten the drain bolt. Called Acura Fri. morning explaining what happened and had the car towed. Just thought you gus would like to hear that story. And after getting my car back, WOW what a difference the actuator makes its like night and day. My actuator I'm guessing was out for 1.5 years, after getting my chrome rims I just thought they were that much heavier and slowing me down. Anybody in the valley that has a problem with their actuator go to N. Scottsdale Acura and talk to Randy in service he was real nice and knew what I was talking about with the actuator.
