Lip Spoiler for CL_S

So I really want to get a lip spoiler and I searched tons of threads about them but could not find out if anyone has this particular lip spoiler or has purchased from this seller.
Click Me
Im thinking about getting it because i love how it looks on the other SMR's here. If anyone knows anything about this lip spoiler or the seller I would greatly appreciate the info.

Yep, I bought from him. Took about 4-5 days to get to me, great quality from what I can tell so far. I had the body shop install mine while I was getting other body work done and they put some windshield glue on each end and in the middle because I told them they can pop up on either end after a while. With Chicago's humid summers, I didn't want to rely on the double sided tape that it comes with.

Check out this thread if you haven't already: https://acurazine.com/forums/showthread.php?t=187007

I also got it mounted further back on the trunk, cuz the pictures I've seen had too much space between it and the end of the trunk. It looks perfect now

Do you know if the shop had to heat it up and bend it at all or was it a good fit?

Personally, I have the OEM spoiler, but from what I've gathered on the lip spoilers you have to heat it to mold it to the trunk line, also the ends wont stay glued down.

The spoiler itself is flexible, no heating necessary. It's not an unbendable solid part. The glue the body shop put on is what holds windshields in place, I don't think the ends will be popping up anytime soon.

How good is the paint match? Perfect? It looks great on all the pics I have seen.

@ myself for missing the edit on my post. The spoiler does indeed bend, but there have been a couple instances where the glue didn't hold on the corners. cltypeslow i believe was one of guys it happened to.

Paint match is right on about 95%, I'm sure it'll be 100% after this summer. It's nothing noticeable, i'm just very detail crazy...

Im 99% sure I'm gonna get it later on in the week, only if I found a oem spoiler painted SMR for less than 200, which ive been looking for over 3 weeks and haven't found, I will post pics and give details on the install when I get it.

i just ordered the same spoiler. wondering if anyone thinks it's necessary to use glue instead of the attached double-sided tape. i live in canada where it can get hot and very cold, so i'm thinking the adhesive will break down eventually.

yea thats a very good product but it wont work. The bmw spoilers are already formed, ours is flimsy, the glue wouldn't work (the spoiler would be deformed), you'll see

Interesting, the only ones (20-25 separate; E46, E39, E90, E60, and a new E92 have all been a non flex) that my team has installed have all been a non flex lip...

i bought some 3M tape from BMW that was cut perfectly for it and i haven't had any problems. I've had it on through 2 winters and 2 summers and it is still on there solid as day 1.

I bought the OEM BMW spoiler from custom car creations here. With the 3M tape. Been on there nearly 2 years and looks good still.

I did mine alone the other day. Makes the car look so much better.

As for install, i just followed what it said in the instructions that came with it. You lay it down, curve and center it. then pull one side of the tape only about 2 inches and lay it down making sure its still centered. then keep with the lines of the car and slowly pull the tape away from underneath...simple really

Nice. Make sure you mount it far enough back. You don't want too much space between the end of the trunk and the lip spoiler...

I was just looking at that on some pics and then comparing mine to it, I want it all the way back to the edge of the trunk, some might call it the lip of the trunk, I never realized you have to curve it like ) < that with the trunk, its gonna look so good though!

Thats where I got mine, holding it in my hands right now I would pay probably up to 150 for this with how good the paint match is and how it can be bent, can't wait to put it on!

I just got mine in hand yesterday, which i'm very exited about! I see alot of people saying use 3m wax remover before putting it on. but i was just planning on washing the trunk lid, then using some rubbing alcohol on cotton balls to clean off the area i'm gonna stick it. What is your guys opinion on this.

Just installed mine last night, happy with it. Went over to a friends house and he and his dad helped me out. It was harder than i thought it was gonna be to get it aligned correctly, even with three people.
Then i got home from work tonight and i decided i had to de-badge my trunk of the 3.2. Also happy with that, makes the lip spoiler fit better without it, trunk just looks more balanced. If you like it and your on the fence, i'd say do it. Pics tomorrow when its light outside.
