lip kit
lip kit
so i finally got my cl-s yesterday....i am in love with it. they said this was the next step up for integra owners and damn, they were right....
wondering if you guys know of anybody that makes a carbon fiber front lip or any kind of lip...and not one for just cosmetic reasons but one that may actually do something...
did i mention that i love this car!

RonJon is supposed to be coming out with a body kit for the CL. I'm not too sure if it will be all that functional, but it will be better than the ones out there right now.
Welcome. And hope you love the car.

i got a white one. i wanted it in blue but they were asking a $1000 more just for the color. i thought that was B.S. so i stuck with the white one. and i figured white is more inconspicuous anyway. things i've noticed so far:
the brakes suck!

ABP? is that the color or your ride. i think they call mine taffeta white...not sure. i ordered tein s tech suspension 2.1 in the front and 1.6 in the rear. are the stock shocks good enough to handle that drop? i will probably just put it on tokico's anyway since thats the exact setup i had on my teggy and loved it. what brake companies are you guys going to?
Welcome. if your going to change springs and shocks. I would look into the tein SS coilovers. A few of us have them and they are great. Ecspecially if this is going to be an all weather car it's great to be able to raise it in the winter. Plus depending on your rim and tire combo you can lower it to your liking. I'm running EBC's slotted and dimpled rotors with EBC's green stuff pads, They are a great improvement. Plus I have comptech ss brake lines that definitly improve pedal feel. Good luck to ya

this forum is great. all of you guys seem to know what you're talking about and have really good mods to your car. i hope i can keep up. i am so not a fan of coilovers. i dont know why...i just think a nice spring and shock combo is all you need. i wont be lowering it that much anyway. and i am keeping the factory rims and just painting them flat black. getting a sportier tire and calling it a day.
someone give me a good reason to go to a full coilover setup. i have $8000 left in my budget and want to spend it wisely. no superchargers tho.

If you're just going with a slight drop, I would either consider the Comptechs or H&R sport springs. And would go with Koni Yellows for shocks/struts. I'd say about $500 to $650 for your suspension system. More if you decide to go with aftermarket sways, and strut tower bar, maybe an extra $400 to $500. A new set of coilovers will be less than $900 for the Tein SS.
Since you have a nice budget, I would consider headers, intake and exhaust. But with that much, you can get all of the above and still have enough to consider the SC. The headers, intake and exhaust will run you any where from about $1000 to $2500 depending on what you get. IMO, Comptech is best.
If no on the supercharger then the Rotora Big Brake Kit will definately be a good addition. I've heard good things about them, and that will be under $1500. And you should defiantely have enough for a nice set of wheels and tires at less than $2000 for 19's.
That should leave you with a couple bucks for the stereo.
Good hunting. Check out www.comptechusa.com or www.c-c-c.net for better prices, etc.
