Props to the Civic.
Did you see the shiftlight lighting up the driver's face.
Thanks for the vid Pull!

That little Civic had two passengers, too...I love the "peace" sign the guy in the back gives...and the dialogue at the start "I'm gonna whip his ass..."
Hilarious...

Well, nitrous ("NOS/Noss/Naawwzz" as the kids say) is forced induction, but I think you meant blower/turbo.

true about the sulfer.... essentially the heat in the engine burns the bond between the nitrogen and the oxygen .... the oxygen is released as an oxidizer for the fuel and the nitrogen as a chemical coolant...... see nossssssssssss.

Unfortunately, I had to sell my car to put myself through school. I had a 66 Chevy II Nova with a juiced 400SB, NOS Big Shot jetted for 300, Keith Black flat tops, steel crank, TH350 with brake, fenderwell headers, full 3 inch exhaust with flo's, 12 bolt, 4.10, mini-tubs with 10 inch Mickey Thompson drag radials in back with 165 skinnies up front, glass hood and front fenders, 12 point cage, and a fast time of 11.09 at 119.9 countersteering like a maniac. I tuned and I tuned to get into the 10's and the mph up to 120, but I couldn't do it. My 60 ft was terrible at 1.56, but those cars just don't hook well.
The thing I loved most about my car was I drove it to school and the Mustang dudes would always want to race me. They all hung out in a crew, so I beat one of them without spray by a good 8-10 cars and that was the last time they talked smack
I miss that car so much, and it's the primary reason I laugh at ricers. I bought my CL cause it's a nice car, not because it's fast - don't get me wrong, I still want to get performance parts for it
Side Note: I spent less than $10k on that car. A buddy of mine is currently working on a 80 Malibu wagon with a ATI D3 air-air blown Pat Musi powered 468 that he wants to run in the low 9's. Total cost: $20k currently.

It's not that Nitrous allows a more complete burn, it allows more oxygen and more fuel to be combusted. It's not really "more effecient".
It's all semantics, I guess. If you want to include Turbocharging and Supercharging in a seperate class of power adders and call them forced induction, that's cool by me, I guess...

So you're running 13.3 all motor in a 5.slow? Not bad. Ever think about squeezing it? BTW, how are those 4.30 gears treating you? I drove a 5 speed LX with 4.11's and 1st gear went by in what felt like less than a second.

I have thought about doing a 75 or 100 shot, but I am going to do a blower instead.
The 4.30s are fantastic in the DOHC 4.6. 4.10s are pretty short for a pushrod 5.0, but in mine with the 7000 redline, they need a lot of gear. Really wakes the car up.

a guy from another board tracked down the owner of the lightning. here's the info...
"Ok, got in touch with the Lightning driver, and here are the details -
240SX has a turbo at 11 lbs. Green hatch has a GSR swap and a turbo, runs low 12s. White Civic is a B18 with a 100 shot. "

Any word on what mods the FL has on it? Those things are crazy fast when modded up right. As hard as that supposed 12 sec civic pulled on him, he must be modded lightly. FL's can get into 12's themselves with a lot less work than a civic.
