License Plate

I got pulled over the other day for havin the license plate in my window, i got out of it but it was not cool.

Ive read some articles about the front license plate being mandatory mounted in the trunk for most people, but i want to relocate mine i was wondering if anyone has done it or has ideas.

Mostly i was looking up headlights and saw a pic of someone who had a sweet set up of the plate, where the top half that said New York was bent. I wanna do that he had it rite in the grill and it looked nicee was wondering if anyone maybe knows the link to where i saw it..or has no ideas.

I looked all night, someone please find that picc pleaseee

It's illegal for hiding the state of your license plate. I assume you probably don't have a front license plate either because you want to relocate the back one. This is illegal too. I wouldn't mess with the rear one since the cops have a much better chance of getting you =[

They have flip-down license plate kits that fold up when the car is parked... Let me find a link...

it is illegal to modify the license plate in any way i believe. just leave it where it is. if you move it to another location, chances are, your gonna get popped again. you can move it to the side or i roll without a front plate because its pretty easy for me to get by with out it.

BUT there is a good reason for not putting your plate on your dash or any inside. i dont have the link to the thread, but yeears back on honda-tech some guy got in an accident and his license plate in his front window flew back and cut his girlfriends throat which killed her. i wouldnt do it.

Thanks man! I bent the plate and left the top of the plate out so it looks like an "L". Then i used LONG zip-ties to go through the holes where the stock bracket bolted into the bumper.... than looped them through the plate.
It took about 5 min just be careful bending the plate you don't want the paint to crack then it looks like shit! good lick

You can also take the front bracket off, and using longer bolts, FLIP IT OVER. This puts the tag down lower and avoids bumper paint damage.

Also makes a handy curb feeler!

i tried flippin the plate around too, but it made it seem like my car had a buck front tooth haha... it looks good in that picture but when i did it, it jsut didnt seem right.

Anyone else out their got some cool ideas about mountin the plate and mountage in the trunk does not count. I'd love to know why states allow one plate but other states dont.
