LED's in the Roads Lamps

I was in a local Autozone looking for washer fluid and noticed that "APC" , AKA "The Pep Boys high performance import parts supplier" has come out with the "domed" end white LED push in lamps for 18 bones.

Has anyone tried these out yet?

I have some ideas I'm going to try that might be an option to the PIAA's and Polargs. It might take some extra bulb housings to expieriment with.

I dont know if those are the same LEDs I've tried, but they were dim just like the stock ones.

My friend has them on his accord...i was thinking about them for awhile for my car...but then it might be too attention getting...especially if you get blue. I also saw someone do it so where it was hardwired into the alarm LED so it would blink when the car was armed. It's a big attention getter...

Yeah don't use LED for the roadlamp. They were the first thing i used before changing to Polarg/Piaa. They may look nice, but like he said, too dim. At night the LED doesn't light up the housing that well and all you see is a dot of light dpending on the colour you got (me purple). I used the bulbs for 1 week when one of the LED was messed. It started to flash like strobe light.

I have got the white LED's from a link posted a few months ago. Like XtremeWhite or something. Yes, they are dim, but I have the 6000K headlights and they match very well. Plus, no one else has that look

from the LEDs I see on the highway I like them. the things I've read online about them is they'll probably never burn out as long as you own the car(cause they're a bunch of tiny bulbs), I've also heard they pull less power from your battery
negitive side they cost a little more than your "run of the mill"
bulb

That is what you think. When i said my LED was messed, it meant each of the little bulbs were burning off one by one and causing the strobe light effect when 50% of the little bulbs burned out.
