Leather is cracking

The leather is cracking on my drivers seat. The car is less than a year old.
Anyone else have this problem? Did you get it fixed? Did the dealer give you any problems?

Yep, i noticed my leather seat is not as nice as it used to be. I noticed it about 2 months after i purchased my car. I'm not too concerned about it though, it seems like it's just wrinkling. It doesn't look like it'll fall apart. I consider it normal wear...

I have had wrinkles pretty much since I bought the car. These are cracks, and it is starting to peel.

If they're actual cracks, have your dealer look at them. Ask them if they are supposed to "peel" like that...i highly doubt they'll say yes, so ask them to replace it or something.

Leather is actually supposed to improve with age. If conditioned properly. Lexol is the key.

Lexol Cleaner and Conditioner has been applied every 4 weeks since purchased. I was even foolish enough to buy it from the dealer when I bought my car. ($11.00 a bottle at dealer... $8.00 a bottle at Kragens)

Don't let sun directly shine on the leather for too long, if you do so everyday and especially in california where sun is pretty strong, then the leather will age prematurely. Put your car in garage is possible, otherwise at least let the tail of your car facing the sun so it can't shine on the leather seats. Probably tinting the glasses or put the sun visor thing in the windshield. Just my idea.

I do use a silver reflective sunshade. I also make sure the sunroof slide is closed.
I only weigh 160. I Lexol every month.
This is probably why it bothers so much...
I have tried to take every precaution to protect the inside.. hell the whole car.
I have tennis shoes last longer than this seat did. I plan on going to the dealer with this I just wanted to see if I was the only one reporting this problem to them.
