Leasing a 2003 CL

I've decided to lease a 2003 CL-S w/Navi. From Jan 3 to March 31 there’s a manufacturing to dealer incentive of 1000 bucks. Does anyone know if this would be useful when dealing on a lease?

Either way what’s a good lease deal to get on this car and what are some of the numbers other people have got on a 2001-2003 CL-S?

Any help would be appreciated.

Yeah i'd like to know two... I went to a dealer and they had me laughing when they gave me these two quotes.

One was for a CL Type S w/o Nav
w/ 2000 down 12K miles and
39 month Lease
450.00 with car price of 28,655.00
best he could do on this if I put an extra 1K down 395 LMFAO

the other was for

CL with Navi
2k dwn 12K miles
39 month lease
460.00

Took the brochure and walked right out.

Its soo funny when you have to deal with these guys.. i'm not in a rush so I don't mind searching around.. but for people that have a time clock to go by its got to be a major pain in the ass!

BTW the figures are way High... I know with some neg. you can have them way down... ia m curious as well what would be an overall good number for the leases.

Got mine for $404 a month. Put $2500?? down and got 15k for 39 months.
Not too bad, I just put too much money down. It was my first lease vehicle I'll know better next time..

You shouldn't put any money down and don't pay the taxes up front either. If the car gets totalled that money is gone.

To answer your question I need to know the following:

1) What trim CL are you buying and what is the dealer selling price?
2) Money factor and residual value dealer's quoting
3) Tax rate in your state
4) How much do they want for security deposit, bank fee, doc fee and motor vehicle fee (not necessary but helpful to compare deals.)

I can answer whether or not it's a good deal but it's best to learn it yourself. That way you can point out their "mistakes" and get a better deal.

Yes, any time you can lower the selling price it's good whether you're leasing or buying. With leasing you're paying the deprecation only (plus interest on that borrowed money.) So lower selling price means less depreciation to pay. Getting $1k off the selling price will save you about $15 a month or $550 over a 36 month lease. Try to get them to apply it to the selling price and not as a cap cost reduction.
