Kudos to Woodfield Acura!!

I took my car in for an oil change and a squeek from my back seat. That all got done. Now, there have been scuff marks on my door panels that were there when i bought the car. And the speaker mesh on the rt. side door has some kinda stain dirt mark on it. You can't really tell, but it annoyed the hell out of me (obsessive compulsive). So the service manager looks at it and tells me, "Why don't we just order you a new set of door panels, left and right. " I was like DAYUM!!! Now that is real nice i think. They didn't have to do that. That is how you make a loyal cusotmer. Can't beat that. If they read this site...Thanks guys!!

they also sell and install Comptech stuff....it just keeps gettin better. Now where am i going to get the money for that stuff.

I actually got a better deal on my car at the palentine Acura for the TLS. But I take it to woodfield acura for service, cuz they treat me better.

My situation was just the opposite. I saw the car at Arlington. They quoted me a decent price, but I thought I could do better. I found out that at the time, there were only three WDP TLs w/Nav in the Chicago area. Ended up going to Woodfield and they gave me a better price.

As for service, after about three thousand miles, I noticed that my rotors were warped and my wipers were smudging real bad. Seems there was a TSB for both. I took it in on a Saturday and I mentioned to the service manager that I also noticed this slight imperfection on one of the wheels. It was real minor and I thought they would give me a hard time about it. At first I thought I was going to wait for it, but the service manager says "This will take a while, why don't I get you a loaner so you don't have to wait around". Pretty cool considering that most dealers want you to schedule a loaner in advance.

Anyway, he calls me later in the day and tells me that they'll have to keep it until Monday since the wiper fix was pretty extensive. Seems that some TLs left the factory with washer fluid that had too much alcohol. The fluid was breaking down the rubber of the wipers and the plastic tubing and that all had to be replaced and the system flushed. He also said that his manager would be in on Monday so they could discuss the wheel.

Chris calls me Monday morning to tell me to pick up my car. I ask him about the wheels (expecting him to brush it off). To my surprise, he tells me that they replaced three of the four wheels, along with the center caps and all of the lug nuts!!! I didn't even notice anything on the other wheels, but apparently they did.

I was impressed.

My brother gets his MDX serviced there along with his prior Legend and he is pretty satisfied with them also.

BTW, the guy I dealt with was Chris Anderson.

I used to take my old Vigor and now my TL to Arlington for service. I live in the far northwest suburbs and Libertyville Acura was closer to home, but Arlington was closer to work, so it was a toss-up. A service manager that I got to know real well at Libertyville went to Arlington, so I followed him. He always took care of me and took care of my late dad (fixed the radio on his out of warranty vigor for $60!).

I just found out that that service manager left, so going to Woodfield might be worth it now.
